Of all the things I did and saw in Brno this will be the one that stays with me longest. Unexpectedly this is an absolute top class museum. The signs are in Czech but they give English visitors a large booklet that explains all the numbered displays perfectly. The booklet is large so it took me over two hours to read and view the whole exhibit.

In the leisure time, guests can sightsee the Špilberk Castle 1.2 mi from the hotel, visit the Brno Observatory and Planetarium on top of the Kraví mountain 1.1 mi
Overall, it is estimated that around 27% of Czechs can speak English to some level, though this rate is much higher in the capital city Prague, where you should be able to use English in the main central tourist spots. Elsewhere in the country, English speakers are less common and having some basic Czech phrases will be useful.
