An i7 2600 3,4 ghz with a gtx 970 should not require overclocking to play a game that sincerely doesn't look incredible. I can run shadow of mordor at maximum settings with the hd texture pack at 70+fps, crysis 3 at max settings at 50+ fps. This game is not at that level of graphic fidelity to justify such a huge requirement in performance.
The default keys are spacebar to 'jump' and RMB to 'aim'. When you climb a rope, you have to use the LMB to climb up, RMB to climb down and spacebar to jump. When I try with my keybinds, the onscreen instructions correspond to the key changes I made but they don't work.
Can't be a slow HDD since all new laptops don't come with HDD's since like 2015, SSD is the standard, also throttling can't cause this much lag on an RTX2070 super on Far Cry 4 unless he clogged his vents with bee wax, either way must be some driver, DP/HDMI cable problems or he bought a pre-used mined to the ground laptop/ caught a bitminer virus.

So basically, I alt-enter, change settings, alt enter back to full scree, and it plays great. Every time I need to change settings I just need to go into windowed mode apparently. Crazy. But simple!
